United for Peace Standing with Those Affected Building Resilient Communities

Voice of Peace is a global peace initiative bringing people and communities together to promote peace, honour those affected by terrorism and violence, and strengthen understanding, unity and resilience across borders.

One Humanity. One Voice.

Peace

Promoting understanding and peaceful coexistence.

Humanity

Standing with individuals, families and communities affected by violence.

Unity

Bringing people together across cultures, faiths and nationalities.

Resilience

Helping communities build strength, compassion and hope.

Why Voice of Peace?

Violence May Divide. Humanity Can Unite.

Terrorism and violent extremism leave consequences that extend far beyond the moment of an attack. Individuals, families, communities and those who protect them can carry the impact for years.

Voice of Peace exists to listen, remember, connect and help build pathways towards peace.

We seek to create spaces where affected voices can be heard, communities can come together, young people can participate, and people from different backgrounds can stand together for peace.

Our Focus

Amplifying Affected Voices

Creating respectful opportunities for the experiences of affected individuals and families to be heard.

Building Understanding

Raising awareness of the human impact of terrorism and violence.

Connecting Communities

Encouraging dialogue, understanding and cooperation across cultures, faiths and nationalities.

Inspiring Future Generations

Giving young people meaningful opportunities to participate in building a more peaceful future.

  2. India — New Chapter

    Building connections across borders.

  3. The World

    An international platform for peace.

A Beginning in Australia

Voice of Peace began its journey in Australia in 2016, with a commitment to better understand the human impact of terrorism and bring greater attention to the experiences of people affected by violence.

Over the years, that journey has connected us with affected families, police and military families, serving and former personnel, community members and citizens whose lives have been touched directly or indirectly by terrorism and related violence.

Their stories of courage, sacrifice, grief, hope and resilience helped shape the vision for Voice of Peace.

Now, a New Chapter Begins.

India marks the next chapter in the Voice of Peace journey.

From India, we seek to build connections across borders and bring people, organisations and communities together around a shared commitment to:

Peace. Unity. Compassion. Respect for Human Life.

The longer-term vision is to grow Voice of Peace into an international platform connecting communities and initiatives across countries and regions while remaining grounded in our shared humanity.

What We Do

Turning the Voice of Peace into Action

More Than a Rally. More Than a Concert. More Than a Campaign.

Voice of Peace is envisioned as an enduring international peace platform—bringing people together not only for moments of solidarity, but also through meaningful initiatives that raise awareness, strengthen communities and contribute to lasting peace.

Our initiatives will focus on:

Affected Voices & Families

Creating respectful opportunities for individuals and families affected by terrorism and violence to be heard, acknowledged and included in the broader conversation about peace and resilience.

Public Events

Creating visible moments of unity, solidarity and collective commitment to peace.

Remembrance

Honouring those affected by terrorism and violence, remembering lives lost and changed, and recognising the courage and resilience of families and communities.

Youth Engagement

Giving young people a meaningful voice and encouraging them to become ambassadors for peace, understanding and positive change.

Education & Awareness

Building understanding of the human impact of terrorism and violence while encouraging informed conversations about peace, inclusion and social cohesion.

Dialogue

Creating opportunities for people across cultures, faiths, generations and communities to listen, learn and build mutual understanding.

Arts & Culture

Using music, storytelling, creativity and shared cultural experiences to connect people and communicate messages of peace and humanity.

Community Engagement

Strengthening relationships, inclusion, compassion and resilience within and between communities.

International Collaboration

Building connections among organisations, communities and partners across countries to share knowledge, strengthen cooperation and advance a shared commitment to peace.

Because the event may end. The message must continue.

Our Guiding Principles

Built on Humanity. Guided by Peace.

Voice of Peace is guided by:

  • Peace
  • Humanity
  • Dignity
  • Compassion
  • Inclusion
  • Respect
  • Unity
  • Resilience
  • Non-Violence

Our Commitment to Inclusion

Voice of Peace does not associate terrorism with any particular religion, ethnicity, nationality or community.

We recognise that terrorism and violence can affect people of every background, and that lasting peace requires communities to work across differences rather than deepen them.

Voice of Peace seeks to provide an inclusive and respectful platform where people from different backgrounds can come together around their shared humanity.

We are committed to peaceful dialogue, dignity, mutual respect and the responsible treatment of the experiences and stories entrusted to us.

Our Vision

A World That Refuses to Be Divided by Violence.

We envision a world where people across cultures, faiths, nationalities and communities stand together against violence and hatred.

  • Where affected voices are heard.
  • Where those whose lives have been changed by violence are treated with dignity and compassion.
  • Where communities support one another.
  • Where differences become opportunities for understanding rather than division.
  • Where young people become ambassadors for peace.
  • Where dialogue builds bridges.
  • And where compassion is stronger than hatred and division.

Different Experiences. Shared Humanity. One Voice of Peace.

The Voice of Peace Promise

What Should Remain After Every Initiative?

Every Voice of Peace initiative should create something that lasts.

Our aim is not simply to create a successful event, but to leave behind stronger connections between people and communities and a continuing commitment to peace.

  • Stronger Relationships
  • Greater Awareness
  • New Partnerships
  • Meaningful Dialogue
  • Youth Participation
  • Greater Understanding
  • Community Resilience

Because the event may end. The message must continue.
